Serous peritoneal psammocarcinoma is a rare primitive surface tumour. First time, it has been described in 1916. Only 30 cases have been reported in the literature. The tumour mimics an ovarian serous papillary adenocarcinoma and is characterized by dystrophic calcifications called psammoma bodies. Aggressive debulking surgery has been the initial treatment modality. The evolution of the disease is mostly favourable except in a few cases with a more aggressive course. We report the case of an initially well differentiated psammocarcinoma with a further unfavourable evolution.
