Lymphedema is a common complication following oncologic surgeries and is classically described to occur months to a few years after these procedures. A 64 year-old woman with history of total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy developed right-sided lower extremity lymphedema 7 years after the surgeries. Lymphographic imaging performed approximately twenty years after the original surgeries revealed development of subclinical, asymptomatic lymphedema on the contralateral lower extremity.

Indocyanine green lymphography has recently been used to assess lymphatic vessel function in lymphedema patients. Postoperative collateral lymphatic vessels toward ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes are rarely seen above the umbilical level in lower lymphedema patients. Between January 2012 and December 2014, we performed indocyanine green lymphography of 192 limbs in 96 lower extremity lymphedema cases.

Seventy-three clinically normal, lactating cats were used to investigate the lymph drainage of 73 mammary glands. In 50 cats of the first group, the number of lymphatic vessels emerging from the examined mammary gland, their course and the lymph nodes into which they are drained were studied by indirect lymphography (IL) after intramammary injection of an oily contrast medium. In 23 cats of the second group, the lymph drainage of the mammary glands was studied by computerized tomography indirect lymphography (CT-IL) after intramammary injection of a water soluble contrast medium.

Objective: The abdominal and retroperitoneal lymphatic system is characterized by numerous anatomic variations. Our objective is to review MR lymphographic features of normal anatomy and abnormal conditions.
Conclusion: MR lymphography is a noninvasive technique that is well suited for the examination of abdominal and retroperitoneal lymphatic vessels.

We report a case of recurrent inguinal lymphocele formation after inguinal lymphadenectomy treated by lymphographic mapping and selective ligation of the lymphatic vessels. Lymphographic mapping was performed by puncturing a lymphatic vessel at the dorsum of the foot. After isolating the vessels that drained into the lymphocele, they were clipped and divided through a small skin incision.
