Morphologic study of patent ductus arteriosus based on computed tomography data in 25 dogs.

Front Vet Sci

December 2024

Department of Veterinary Clinical Science, College of Veterinary Medicine and Research Institute for Veterinary Science, Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Introduction: The objective of this study is to analyze the morphology and measurement dimensions of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) based on computed tomography images.

Methods: The present study retrospectively evaluated computed tomography angiography data from 25 client-owned dogs diagnosed with PDA. PDA was reconstructed based on the central axis and the minimum diameter, ampulla diameter, angle, ampulla cross-section area, and length values were measured at specific measurement sites.

Purpose: To evaluate the potency and security of Pneumatic Vitreolysis (PVL) as the primary treatment for Full-Thickness Macular Holes (FTMHs) and provide insights into patient selection criteria and procedural outcomes.

Patients And Methods: A retrospective analysis of three clinical cases presenting with FTMHs treated initially with PVL was conducted. Cases were evaluated for anatomical and functional outcomes through comprehensive ophthalmic examination and optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging.

Objectives: To evaluate the prevalence and predictors of ischemic lesions on thin-slice DWI (2 mm) in endovascular treatments for unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA), particularly explore the potential relationship with pathway plaques.

Methods: Participants eligible for endovascular treatments with UIA at a national stroke center between March 2023 and August 2023 were prospectively enrolled. All participants performed thin-slice DWI (slice thickness of 2 mm) before and after procedures.

4-Dimensional Cardiac Modelling of Multi-phase Computed Tomography for Predicting Outcomes Following Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement.

Stephenson Cardiac Imaging Centre, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Libin Cardiovascular Institute, University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Department of Cardiac Science, Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Electronic address:

Background: Multi-phase Computed Tomography Angiography (mpCTA) is routinely performed prior to transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) to determine eligibility and enable pre-procedural planning. Incremental prognostic value may be realized from full-cycle, multi-phase reconstructions to assess the contractile health of cardiac chambers. This study aimed to assess the feasibility of 4D chamber modelling of the left ventricle (LV) to support 3D minimum principal strain (3DminPS) based predictions of clinical outcomes following TAVR.

Purpose: To characterize the effect of embolic particle size on outcomes of uterine artery embolization (UAE) for mixed adenomyosis/fibroids.

Materials And Methods: A single-center retrospective database was compiled of all patients with mixed adenomyosis/fibroids who underwent UAE with particles (Embosphere, Merit, USA; Embozene, Varian, UK) from September 2015 to May 2022 (n=76, mean age: 46.7 ± 5.
