We present a rare case of a 23-year-old man with an isolated trochlear fracture following an injury to the left elbow. To our knowledge, there are only a few cases previously reported in the literature. The relevant literature is reviewed.

Purpose: Isolated coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus in adolescents are rare injuries with unique surgical challenges. Respect for the posterior blood supply, open physes, and need for direct visualization to achieve anatomic reduction are critical considerations in surgical fixation. This study presents a case series and a surgical approach used in treating these patients.

Isolated ophthalmoplegia as an anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (anti-GAD65) antibody-associated neurological syndrome is rare. We present a case of a 22-year-old pregnant Hispanic female patient who presented initially with a left oculomotor nerve palsy following an emergency department (ED) visit for migraine headache. Brain imaging was done with no important findings.

This technique has demonstrated significant improvements in patient-reported outcomes, high rates of return to sport, and low rates of failure. However, there is debate regarding the use of isolated MPFLR in the setting of concomitant pathoanatomic features such as patella alta, trochlear dysplasia, or a lateralized tibial tubercle.

Background: Patellar instability is frequently encountered by orthopaedic surgeons. One of the major risk factors of this condition is underlying trochlear dysplasia (TD). Recent trends have indicated the use of multiple procedures to correct patellar instability under these conditions.

Introduction: The medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) is the main patellar stabilizer in low knee flexion degrees (0-30°). Isolated MPFL reconstruction (MPFLr) is therefore considered the gold standard of surgical procedures for low flexion patellofemoral instabilities (PFIs). Despite excellent clinical results, little is known about the effect of MPFLr on kinematic parameters (KPs) of the patellofemoral joint in vivo.
