Today the use of nanotubes (CNTs) is widely spread a versatile vector for drug delivery that can officiate as a platform for transporting a variety of bioactive molecules, such as drugs. In the present study, the interaction between the nanotube and anticancer drugs is investigated. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were using the Gauss view and the complexes were optimized by B3LYP method using B3LYP/6-31G (d, p) and B3LYP/6-311++G (d, p) basis set in the gas phase and water solution at 298.15K. The calculated hikes' occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied (LUMO) energies Show that charge transfer occurs within the molecule. Furthermore, the effects of interactions on the natural bond orbital analysis (NBO) have been used to a deeper investigation into the studied compounds. These factors compete against each other to determine the adsorption behavior of the tube computer simulation is seen to be capable to optimize anticancer drug design. This review article mainly concentrates on the different protocols of loading anticancer drugs onto CNTs as well as how to control the anticancer drug release and cancer treatment.

Context: The study of the influence of solvent on 1-bromo adamantane (BAD) exposes prominent solvatochromatic shifts in the optical absorbance and substantial solvent effects on the electronic structure. This facilitates the molecular probe abilities for the BAD with respect to the surrounding environments such as dielectric constant and polarity. BAD exhibits positive solvatochromism for nonpolar solvents and negative solvatochromatic shifts for polar and aromatic solvents.

We have quantum chemically analyzed the trends in bond dissociation enthalpy (BDE) of H3C-XHn single bonds (XHn = CH3, NH2, OH, F, Cl, Br, I) along three different dissociation pathways at ZORA-BLYP-D3(BJ)/TZ2P: (i) homolytic dissociation into H3C∙ + ∙XHn, (ii) heterolytic dissociation into H3C+ + -XHn, and (iii) heterolytic dissociation into H3C- + +XHn. The associated BDEs for the three pathways differ not only quantitatively but, in some cases, also in terms of opposite trends along the C-X series. Based on activation strain analyses and quantitative molecular orbital theory, we explain how these differences are caused by the profoundly different electronic structures of, and thus bonding mechanisms between, the resulting fragments in the three different dissociation pathways.

In quantum information science and sensing, electron spins are often purified into a specific polarization through an optical-spin interface, a process known as optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR). Diamond-NV centers and transition metals are both excellent platforms for these so-called color centers, while metal-free molecular analogues are also gaining popularity for their extended polarization lifetimes, milder environmental impacts, and reduced costs. In our earlier attempt at designing such organic high-spin π-diradicals, we proposed to spin-polarize by shelving triplet = ±1 populations as singlets.

The goal of this study was to synthesize and evaluate new antimicrobial compounds. We specifically focused on the development of 2,5-disubstituted tetrazole derivatives containing the O-methyl-2,3-O-isopropylidene-(D)-ribofuranoside groups through N-alkylation reactions. The synthesized compounds were characterized using H and C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.

Although a substantial amount of research has been conducted to unravel the structural configurations of selenium under pressure, the exquisite sensitivity of selenium's p-orbital electrons to this external force, leading to a plethora of structural variations, leaves several intermediary phases still shrouded in mystery. We, herein, systematically identify the structural and electronic transformations of selenium under high pressure up to 300 GPa, employing crystal structure prediction in conjunction with first-principles calculations. Our results for the transition sequence (321 → 2/ → 3̄ → 3̄) of selenium are in good agreement with experimental ones.
