Fifteen patients with spondylolysis have received compression screw and bone graft treatment for repair of this defect. In all but one case, solid fusion of the pars defect was achieved within six months after surgery. After one year, 13 of the 15 patients were able to participate fully in sports activities.

Background: Sickle cell disease (SCD) and β-thalassemia patients with elevated gamma globin (HBG1/G2) levels exhibit mild or no symptoms. To recapitulate this natural phenomenon, the most coveted gene therapy approach is to edit the regulatory sequences of HBG1/G2 to reactivate them. By editing more than one regulatory sequence in the HBG promoter, the production of fetal hemoglobin (HbF) can be significantly increased.

Objective: Popliteal artery injury is a rare but serious complication of arthroscopic knee surgery. The absence of comprehensive data and standardized guidelines underscores the urgent need for further investigation. This study examines the incidence, risk factors, management strategies, and long-term outcomes of popliteal artery injury in the context of arthroscopic knee procedures.

Immunotherapy is one of the research hotspots in colorectal cancer field in recent years. The colorectal cancer patients with mismatch repair-deficient (dMMR) or high microsatellite instability (MSI-H) are the primary beneficiaries of immunotherapy. However, the vast majority of colorectal cancers are mismatch repair proficient (pMMR) or microsatellite stability (MSS), and their immune microenvironment is characterized by "cold tumors" that are generally insensitive to single immunotherapy based on immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs).

Background: Lung cancer is a life-threatening disease that occurs worldwide, but is especially common in China. The crucial role of the tumour microenvironment (TME) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has attracted recent attention. Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are the main factors that contribute to the TME function, and CAF exosomes are closely linked to NSCLC.

Bone regeneration is a multifaceted process involving the well-coordinated interaction of cellular functions such as the regulation of inflammation, the formation of new blood vessels, and the development of bone tissue. Bone regeneration is a multifaceted process involving the well-coordinated interplay of multiple cellular activities, such as inflammation control, blood vessel and bone tissue. Zhang developed a multifunctional hydrogel system embedded with bone marrow stromal cell-derived exosomes to address the challenges of large bone defects.
