An aerobic, Gram-stain-positive, motile, coccus-shaped actinomycete, designated strain LSe6-4, was isolated from leaves of sea purslane (Sesuvium portulacastrum L.) in Thailand and subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic studies. Growth of the strain occurred at temperatures between 15 and 38 °C, and with NaCl concentrations 0-13%.

Background: Novel colorectal cancer endoscopic surveillance techniques for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) have recently been developed.
Aims: Compare the efficacy of currently available techniques for dysplasia detection in colonic IBD.
Methods: We conducted a systematic literature search from inception to March 2024 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) or prospective cohort studies enrolling adults with IBD and having surveillance colonoscopy for dysplasia screening.

The development of efficient sliding ferroelectric (FE) materials is crucial for advancing next-generation low-power nanodevices. Currently, most efforts focus on homobilayer two-dimensional materials, except for the experimentally reported heterobilayer sliding FE, MoS/WS. Here, we first screened 870 transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) bilayer heterostructures derived from experimentally characterized monolayer TMDs and systematically investigated their sliding ferroelectric behavior across various stacking configurations using high-throughput calculations.

We identified seven distinct coronaviruses (CoVs) in bats from Brazil, classified into 229E-related (Alpha-CoV), Nobecovirus, Sarbecovirus, and Merbecovirus (Beta-CoV), including one closely related to MERS-like CoV with 82.8% genome coverage. To accomplish this, we screened 423 oral and rectal swabs from 16 different bat species using molecular assays, RNA sequencing, and evolutionary analysis.

Purpose: Angioplasty of lower extremity arteries with calcification may result in flow-limiting dissection requiring bail-out stenting with unfavorable long-term outcomes. Vessel preparation prior to angioplasty may improve immediate results of the angioplasty and long-term patency. This prospective study assessed the 12-month outcomes of patients who underwent novel vessel preparation catheter, the FLEX Vessel Prep™ System (FLEX VP), prior to drug-coated balloon angioplasty (DCB-PTA).
