The majority of non-small cell lung cancer patients present with locally advanced disease that may not be resectable. A single modality treatment such as thoracic radiotherapy often results in an inferior outcome when compared to combined modality treatment. Various combinations of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and surgery have been tested in patients with locally advanced non-small-celllung cancer with promising results. The favorable results of the combined modality treatment are accompanied by a corresponding increase in treatment related morbidity. In this article, the results of the application of combined modality treatments in the management of locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer are reviewed.

Background: Neurophysiological investigations are infrequently utilized in the diagnostic workup of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).

Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy of non-surgical laser therapies compared to other treatment modalities for managing peri-implantitis and to analyze post-treatment outcomes of different interventions.
Data And Sources: A comprehensive search was conducted across Medline (PubMed), Web of Science, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), identifying 4675 studies published between January 1953 and November 2023.
Study Selection: A total of 15 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 540 patients and 658 implants met the inclusion criteria, with 10 studies eligible for meta-analyses.

Acting like a zipper to paired homologous chromosomes during early prophase I, the complex is a symmetrical structure where central elements are connected on two sides by the transverse filaments to the chromatin-anchoring lateral elements.
