The quality of the Swiss health system is unanimously recognised, except as regards prevention. Within the OECD, our country is among those that invest the least in this area. Despite overwhelming evidence of its usefulness for public health, in autumn 2012 Parliament rejected the draft federal law on prevention and health promotion.
