Sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) represents a substantial global health challenge, primarily driven by oxidative stress-induced damage within the auditory system. Excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) play a pivotal role in this pathological process, leading to cellular damage and apoptosis of cochlear hair cells, culminating in irreversible hearing impairment. Recent advancements have introduced ROS-scavenging biomaterials as innovative, multifunctional platforms capable of mitigating oxidative stress.

Background: The challenge of expanding haematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPCs) in vitro has limited their clinical application. Human hair follicle mesenchymal stem cells (hHFMSCs) can be reprogrammed to generate intermediate stem cells by transducing OCT4 (hHFMSCs) and pre-inducing with FLT3LG/SCF, and differentiated into erythrocytes. These intermediate cells exhibit gene expression patterns similar to pre-HSCs, making them promising for artificial haematopoiesis.

This study investigates the impact of excessive bleaching on the external morphology and internal microstructure of hair, compared to untreated hair. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), we observed significant changes in both the surface and internal structures of bleached hair. SEM analysis of normal hair revealed a relatively clean surface with intact cuticle scales, while bleached hair showed brittle, torn scales with a rough appearance.

Treatment of bacterial infected full-thickness wounds remains a great challenge in clinic. Herein, a HYP hydrogel was prepared using carboxymethyl chitosan, dialdehyde carboxymethyl cellulose, and marine snail peptide (Tyr-Ile-Ala-Glu-Asp-Ala-Glu-Arg) as starting materials. The marine snail peptide with good antioxidant activity could remove the reactive oxygen species in wound sites, thereby alleviating the excessive inflammatory response.

Plant height is a critical agronomic trait that affects crop yield, plant architecture, and environmental adaptability. Gibberellins (GAs) regulate plant height, with DELLA proteins acting as key repressors in the GA signaling pathway by inhibiting GA-induced growth. While DELLA phosphorylation is essential for regulating plant height, the precise mechanisms underlying this process remain incompletely understood.
