Treatment of CuCl2 with a bis-benzimidazole-type ligand, p-bbiteb, afforded a new 2D coordination polymer bearing cationic Cu2L4 cages on the sheet framework. The regular arrangement of the cages created channel-like space for anions. The compound removed ClO4(-) and NO3(-) from aqueous solutions by exchange with Cl(-) in the channels.

Certain proteins and synthetic covalent polymers experience aqueous phase transitions, driving functional self-assembly. Herein, we unveil the ability of supramolecular polymers (SPs) formed by G4.Cu+ to undergo heating-induced unexpected aqueous phase transitions.

Assembling chiral coordination polymers into nano/microflower structures may improve their performance in applications such as chiral recognition and separation. In this study, we chose a chiral metal phosphonate system, , In(NO)/-, -pempH [pempH = (1-phenylethylamino)methylphosphonic acid], and carried out systematic work on the self-assembly of this system in different alcohol/HO mixed solvents under solvothermal conditions. Enantiomeric compounds -, -[In(pempH)(μ-OH)(HO)](NO) (R-, S-1) were obtained showing dense layered structures, but their morphologies varied with alcohol solvent.

With the rapid expansion of wireless networks, the deployment and long-term maintenance of distributed microwave terminals have become increasingly challenging. To address these issues, we present a bio-inspired microwave system to constitute passive and maintenance-free wireless networks. Drawing inspiration from vertebrate skeletons and skins, we employ stimuli-responsive polymer with tunable stiffness to support and protect sensitive electromagnetic structures, and synthesize self-healable skin-like polymer for system encapsulation.

The escalating prevalence of skeletal muscle disorders highlights the critical need for innovative treatments for severe injuries such as volumetric muscle loss. Traditional treatments, such as autologous transplants, are constrained by limited availability and current scaffolds often fail to meet complex clinical needs. This study introduces a new approach to volumetric muscle loss treatment by using a shape-memory polymer (SMP) based on block copolymers of perfluoropolyether and polycaprolactone diol.

Solid-state synthesis is an approach to organic synthesis that is desirable because it can offer minimal or no solvent waste, high yields, and relatively low energy footprints. Herein, we report the solid-state synthesis of a novel Schiff base, 4-{()-[(4-methylpyridin-3-yl)imino]methyl}benzoic acid (), synthesized through the reaction of an amine and an aldehyde. was prepared via solvent-drop (water) grinding (SDG) on a multigram scale with 97% yield and was characterized using FTIR, H NMR, and SCXRD.
