Background: Neuroendovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms is considered a basic procedure for neurosurgeons and interventional neuroradiologists; however, its critical technical nuances, termed "tacit knowledge," are challenging to impart. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of our novel video recording and editing method in enhancing trainees' experience.
Methods: A wearable camera (wearable recording) and multiple media sources in a hybrid operating room (hybrid recording) were used to capture procedural details such as audio and conversation, thus enabling a re-experience.

Objectives: This study aimed to develop an automated skills assessment tool for surgical trainees using deep learning.
Background: Optimal surgical performance in robot-assisted surgery (RAS) is essential for ensuring good surgical outcomes. This requires effective training of new surgeons, which currently relies on supervision and skill assessment by experienced surgeons.

Percutaneous nephrostomy can be an effective means of preventing irreparable renal damage from obstructive renal disease thereby providing patients with more time to access treatment to remove the source of the blockage. In sub-Saharan Africa, where there is limited access to treatments such as dialysis and transplantation, a nephrostomy can be life-saving. Training this procedure in simulation can allow trainees to develop their technical skills without risking patient safety, but still requires an ex-pert observer to provide performative feedback.

Purpose: eXtended Reality (XR) technology, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), is a growing field in healthcare. Each modality offers unique benefits and drawbacks for medical education, simulation, and clinical care. We review current studies to understand how XR technology uses medical imaging to enhance surgical diagnostics, planning, and performance.
