Introduction: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer therapy by enhancing the antitumor immune response. This case describes an 80-year-old male with synchronous multiple primary malignancies (MPMs), including lung metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC), and brain metastatic urothelial carcinoma, who was treated with dual ICI therapy.

Case Presentation: The patient, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, well-differentiated neuroendocrine duodenal tumors and micronodular exogenous cirrhosis (Child-Pugh class A), presented with a non-invasive bladder carcinoma (pT1N0M0) resected endoscopically in December 2022.

Background: Increasing evidence suggests an association between gut microbiota and Autoimmune Liver Diseases (AILDs). However, causal inference remains controversial due to confounding bias in observational studies. Additionally, there is currently no clear evidence indicating that immune cells act as intermediate phenotypes in the pathogenesis of AILDs.

Background: Managing lower pole renal stones presents clinical challenges influenced by various factors such as stone size, location, and density. This study aims to assess the efficacy, safety, and stone-free rates of Flexible Ureteroscopy (FURS), Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL), and Mini Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (Mini PCNL) for treating lower pole renal hard stones (< 2 cm).

Methods: A prospective single-centre comparative study was conducted on 414 adult patients with primary lower pole renal hard stones.

Background: Capsule endoscopy (CE) is a pivotal diagnostic tool for gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, yet capsule retention poses a significant risk, especially in patients with known risk factors. The patency capsule (PC) helps assess the functional patency of the GI tract to mitigate this risk. However, the standard 28-hour protocol for confirming patency often results in high false-positive rates, unnecessarily excluding many patients from undergoing diagnostic CE.

Background: For the treatment of gastritis, rebamipide, a mucoprotective agent, and nizatidine, a gastric acid suppressant, are commonly employed individually.

Aim: To compare the efficacy of Mucotra SR (rebamipide 150 mg) and Axid (nizatidine 150 mg) combination therapy with the sole administration of Axid in managing erosive gastritis.

Methods: A total of 260 patients diagnosed with endoscopically confirmed erosive gastritis were enrolled in this open-label, multicenter, randomized, phase 4 clinical trial, allocating them into two groups: Rebamipide/nizatidine combination twice daily nizatidine twice daily for 2 weeks.
