Official Veterinarians (OVs) from across the U.K. came together recently at conference organised to provide targeted CPD for their particular roles. With the theme of 'Reducing the impact of notifiable diseases in the UK', the meeting considered a wide range of topics, spanning large animal, small animal and equine issues. In May 2022, we challenged our colleagues to evaluate their educational approaches, policies, recruitment strategies, and leadership organizations with an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) lens. Two virtual national round table meetings were held in 2023 to discuss approaches to integration of the EDI principles into current Canadian plastic surgery training programmes. Additionally, integrative documents and processes were established within our programme to act as a guide for integration of the principles of EDI in the areas of resident education, recruitment, and retention.

Lung cancer remains a leading cause of cancer-related mortality globally and presents significant challenges in Egypt. In 2023, the first annual meeting of the Thoracic Oncology Multidisciplinary Faculty, organized by the Egyptian Cancer Research Network and the Egyptian Society of Respiratory Neoplasms, was held in Cairo, Egypt. Introduction: Electronic decision-support systems (EDSSs) aim to improve the quality of antenatal care (ANC) through adherence to evidence-based guidelines. We assessed the potential of the mHealth integrated model of hypertension, diabetes, and ANC EDSS and the World Health Organization EDSS to improve the quality of ANC in primary-level health care facilities in Nepal.
Methods: From December 2021 to January 2023, we conducted a mixed-methods evaluation in 19 primary-level ANC facilities in Bagmati Province, Nepal.
