Introduction: Good hand hygiene compliance among healthcare workers is crucial for preventing healthcare-associated infections. While an extensive amount of research has focused on barriers to compliance with hand hygiene guidelines, there remains a critical gap in understanding the factors contributing to consistently excellent compliance among some individuals. Thus, the main aim of this study is to learn from these "champions" of hand hygiene and identify facilitating factors that enable and sustain high compliance using the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF).

China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs reports that China's food loss and waste rate is approximately 22.7%, amounting to 460 million tons annually, with the consumption and post-harvest processing stages facing the highest losses.

Objective: We aimed to determine the most important perceived barriers to the implementation of self-administered training and assessment in surgical education according to subject matter experts. With these findings, design thinking was used to explore possible interventions and develop a theory of change for overcoming identified barriers.
