Conversion coefficients fluence to local skin equivalent dose, as introduced in ICRP Publication 116, 2010, are calculated for positrons of energies ranging from 10 keV to 10 MeV using the code MCNP6. Fluence to dose equivalent conversion coefficients H'(0.07,0°)/Φ are calculated for positrons of energy ranging between 20 keV and 10 MeV. A comparison between operational dose quantity H'(0.07,0°) and the Local-Skin equivalent Dose shows an overall good agreement between these two quantities, except between 60 keV and 100 keV.

Isoindigo (IID)-based non-fullerene acceptors, known for their broad absorption spectra and high charge carrier mobilities, play a crucial role in organic photovoltaics. In this study, two A-DA'D-A type unfused ring acceptors (URAs), IDC8CP-IC and IDC6CP-IC, were designed and synthesized using cyclopentadithiophene (CPDT) and IID core units, each functionalized with different alkyl chains (2-hexyldecyl and 2-octyldodecyl), through an atom- and step-efficient direct C-H arylation (DACH) method. Both URAs, despite the absence of non-covalent conformation locking between CPDT and IID, demonstrated favorable molecular planarity, broad absorption ranges, low band gaps, and high molar absorption coefficients.

This article presents the design of a novel ultra-wideband, thin metamaterial linear cross-polarization converter (CPC) operating at microwave frequencies. The CPC consists of two concentric deformed rings on a dielectric substrate backed by a metallic surface. It demonstrates co-polarization and cross-polarization reflection coefficients below - 11 and above - 1.

Silver gallium sulfide (AgGaS) is a ternary ABX-type semiconductor featuring a direct bandgap and high chemical stability. Structurally resembling diamond, AgGaS has gained considerable attention as a highly promising material for nonlinear optical applications such as second harmonic generation and optical parametric oscillation. In attempts to expand the research scope, on the one hand, AgGaS-derived bulk materials with similar diamond-like configurations have been investigated for the enhancement of nonlinear optics performance, especially the improvement of laser-induced damage thresholds and/or nonlinear coefficients; on the other hand, nanoscale AgGaS and its derivatives have been synthesized with sizes as low as the exciton Bohr radius for the realization of potential applications in the fields of optoelectronics and lighting.

The geometric feature characterization of fruit trees plays a role in effective management in orchards. LiDAR (light detection and ranging) technology for object detection enables the rapid and precise evaluation of geometric features. This study aimed to quantify the height, canopy volume, tree spacing, and row spacing in an apple orchard using a three-dimensional (3D) LiDAR sensor.

One of the most important formalisms used to describe membrane transport is Onsager-Peusner thermodynamics (TOP). Within the TOP framework, a procedure has been developed for the transformation of the Kedem-Katchalsky (K-K) equations for the transport of binary electrolytic solutions across a membrane into the Kedem-Katchalsky-Peusner (K-K-P) equations. The membrane system with an Ultra Flo 145 Dialyser membrane used for hemodialysis and aqueous NaCl solutions was used as experimental setup.
