Primary colorectal choriocarcinoma is a rare neoplasm. Only 19 cases have been reported worldwide, most of which involved adenocarcinomas. The prognosis is usually poor, and the standard therapy for this tumor has not been established. A 61-year-old woman presented with constipation and lower abdominal discomfort. She was diagnosed with primary adenocarcinoma with focal choriocarcinomatous differentiation in the sigmoid colon and liver metastasis. Because the serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin level was not significantly elevated, and because only focal choriocarcinomatous differentiation was diagnosed, we selected the chemotherapy regimen that is used for the treatment of metastatic colorectal adenocarcinoma. The patient survived for 13 months after the initial diagnosis. This is the first case in Korea to assess the suppressive effects of the standard chemotherapy for colorectal adenocarcinoma against coexisting colorectal choriocarcinoma and adenocarcinoma.

Cystic trophoblastic tumor (CTT) is a rare non-aggressive germinative neoplasm from the group of non-choriocarcinomatous trophoblastic tumors, which is presented by cystic spaces lined with mononuclear degenerative-looking trophoblastic cells. CTT has been most often described as a residual disease in dissected retroperitoneal lymph nodes of patients with metastatic germ cell testicular tumours after chemotherapy. There were published only sporadic cases of primary testicular mixed germ cell tumour with CTT component.

Cytokeratin 5/6 (CK5/6), p63, and p40 are commonly used as immunohistochemical markers for squamous cell carcinoma (SqCC) of the lung. To elucidate their positivity in primary pulmonary choriocarcinoma (PPC), the present study examined 4 PPCs, including 1 surgically removed PPC and 3 postmortem PPCs. All PPCs consisted of nested cytotrophoblastic tumor cells and occasional syncytiotrophoblastic tumor cells although 1 surgically removed PPC was markedly affected by pre-operative therapy-associated necrosis and 3 postmortem PPCs coexisted with adenocarcinoma.

Purpose Of Investigation: An endometrioid carcinoma coexisting with choriocarcinomatous differentiation is an uncommon event with an aggressive clinical course and a poor prognosis.
Materials And Methods: The authors describe an endometrioid carcinoma of the endometrium provided with a focus of choriocarcinoma-like cells in a 50-year-old menstruated woman with a history of abnormal uterine bleeding. A total bilateral hystero-annessectomy was performed.

Background: Metaplastic breast carcinoma is a rare entity of breast cancer expressing epithelial and/or mesenchymal tissue within the same tumor. The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinicopathological features of metaplastic breast carcinoma and to confirm the triple negative, basal-like and/or luminal phenotype of this type of tumor by using immunohistochemical staining.
Methods: Seven cases of MBC were evaluated for clinico-pathological features including follow up data.
