Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) currently lacks a definitive cure. Studies have highlighted the involvement of SYTL4 expression levels in neoplasms, yet its specific roles in AML remain unexplored in the literature. Utilizing the TCGA and XENA databases, this study investigated SYTL4 expression levels in AML and identified associations between SYTL4 overexpression and clinicopathological features, prognosis, and immune infiltration in AML patients through genomic analysis.

Renal cell carcinoma with papillary and oncocytic features (RCC-PO) are poorly understood, partially due to conflicting results in multiple studies. The histological features that predict behavior of RCC-PO have not been elucidated. The aim is to review clinicopathologic features and to correlate clinical outcomes of patients with RCC-PO to further expand our knowledge on these heterogeneous tumors.

This review summarizes the clinicopathologic features of various lipomatous tumors of soft tissue and addresses some recent conceptual issues relating to adipocytic neoplasms, such as atypical spindle cell/pleomorphic lipomatous tumor and myxoid pleomorphic liposarcoma, and provides an update on the molecular aspects of these tumors. Recent advances in cytogenetic characterization and classification of lipomatous tumors are reviewed, and the genetic importance of distinct chromosomal aberrations are briefly discussed.

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) is a mature T-cell neoplasm characterized by large pleomorphic cells, often with horseshoe- or kidney-shaped nuclei and abundant cytoplasm (hallmark cells), and uniformly strong CD30 expression. Based on ALK expression or ALK rearrangement, ALCL is further classified into ALK-positive (ALK+) and ALK-negative types. This review focuses on the clinicopathologic, immunophenotypic, cytogenetic and molecular features of systemic ALK-negative ALCL.
