Methotrexate injections intralesionally as a treatment for psoriatic nails proved to be effective in large-scale studies as well as individual case reports, but the process is painful and time-consuming. Introduction: Focal acantholytic dyskeratosis is a distinctive histological pattern first described by Ackerman in 1972, consisting of focal suprabasal clefts in the epidermis and dyskeratotic cells at all levels of the epidermis with hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis. The first case of subungual acantholytic dyskeratosis acanthoma (ADA) was reported in 1990. This subungual variant is a very rare entity.

Introduction: This article presents a case of nail unit melanoma (NUM), highlighting the unusual clinical presentations as those originating from the hyponychium. We discuss how dermoscopy is an essential tool for this pigmented lesion, and how the lack of a standardized guide for NUM underscores the importance of personalized approaches to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Case Presentation: A 72-year-old woman presented with a melanocytic lesion on her right second finger, characterized by a hyperpigmented macule with irregular borders and a heterogeneous distribution of pigment.

Dermatomyositis (DM) is an immune mediated inflammatory disease classically associated with muscular and cutaneous involvement. Existing studies have suggested characteristic nailfold findings may be observed in DM, indicating a potential role for nailfold microscopic examination in the diagnosis of DM. To that end, we performed a systematic review of literature pertaining to nailfold microscopic, capillaroscopic, and dermoscopic findings observed in patients with DM, with a secondary review of the association of nailfold microscopic findings with myositis-specific antibody (MSA) and myositis-associated antibody (MAA) status.

We report on two cases of nail tumors associated with onychorrhexis, distal V‑shaped onycholysis, and subungual keratosis. Surgical exposure was performed in each case to confirm the diagnosis. Histopathological examination revealed skin changes consistent with onychopapilloma.
