One hundred and fifty-nine serum samples from hydatid disease patients and 80 serum samples from patients with other liver diseases were detected by gold-immunochromatographic assay, and read by naked eyes and the gold-immunochromatographic test strip reader. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of eye-based method was 92.4% (147/159), 85.0% (68/80), and 89.9% (215/239), which was lower than that of the reader detection (95.6%, 93.7%, 95.0%, respectively). While, its false negative rate (7.5%, 12/159) and false positive rate (15.0%, 12/80) was higher than that of the reader detection (4.4% and 6.3%, respectively).

Cyvirus cyprinidallo 2 (CyHV-2) is the pathogen of herpesviral hematopoietic necrosis (HVHN) that mainly infects goldfish Carassius auratus and crucian carp C. carassius and is characterized by high infectivity and pathogenicity. The availability of rapid and convenient detection methods is essential for early detection of CyHV-2.

The livestock industry uses ofloxacin, an antibiotic, to prevent several animal diseases; however, the overdose of ofloxacin used in animal farming treatments may appear in food products and cause some adverse human health effects. Hence, there is an immediate need to develop a method suitable for on site large-scale detection of ofloxacin residues in animal-derived foods. This study aimed to prepare a monoclonal antibody with high sensitivity and affinity for ofloxacin by re-synthesizing the ofloxacin hapten and synthesizing the corresponding complete antigen.

The Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei), one of the world's most economically important aquatic species, is highly susceptible to Ecytonucleospora hepatopenaei (EHP), a pathogen that infects the hepatopancreas and causes hepatopancreatic microsporidiosis (HPM), leading to stunted growth and substantial economic losses in shrimp farming. Currently, no effective treatments for EHP exist, making rapid on-site detection and preventive measures essential for disease control. While nucleic acid-based detection methods are commonly employed, they require specialized equipment, controlled environments, and trained personnel, which increase costs.

Due to the characteristics of long-term persistence, leading to extensive temporal and spatial distribution of the environmental pollutant dibutyl phthalate (DBP), analyzing of a large number of food and environment samples over a long period and at a high frequency must be necessary. It is of great significance to construct a simple, rapid, sensitive and high-throughput immunoassay method. For the first time, 8 different DBP hapten molecules were designed using computer simulation to provide DBP epitope informations from both conformation and electrostatic aspects for the target molecule.
