FluKB is a knowledge-based system focusing on data and analytical tools for influenza vaccine discovery. The main goal of FluKB is to provide access to curated influenza sequence and epitope data and enhance the analysis of influenza sequence diversity and the analysis of targets of immune responses. FluKB consists of more than 400,000 influenza protein sequences, known epitope data (357 verified T-cell epitopes, 685 HLA binders, and 16 naturally processed MHC ligands), and a collection of 28 influenza antibodies and their structurally defined B-cell epitopes. FluKB was built using a modular framework allowing the implementation of analytical workflows and includes standard search tools, such as keyword search and sequence similarity queries, as well as advanced tools for the analysis of sequence variability. The advanced analytical tools for vaccine discovery include visual mapping of T- and B-cell vaccine targets and assessment of neutralizing antibody coverage. FluKB supports the discovery of vaccine targets and the analysis of viral diversity and its implications for vaccine discovery as well as potential T-cell breadth and antibody cross neutralization involving multiple strains. FluKB is representation of a new generation of databases that integrates data, analytical tools, and analytical workflows that enable comprehensive analysis and automatic generation of analysis reports.

For paediatric patients suffering from neurofibromatosis, Selumetinib (SEL) is the only approved drug. Here an original ecofriendly and high pace method is introduced using 96- microwell spectrophotometric assay (MW-SPA) to measure SEL content in bulk and commercial pharmaceutical formulation (Koselugo capsules). This assay was relied on in-microwell formation of a coloured charge transfer complex (CTC) upon interaction of SEL with 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ).

Introduction: Despite the existing reports on mistreatment and disrespectful maternal care, few studies have investigated interventions to mitigate this issue. The present study aims to assess the impact of consulting midwives on maternal rights charter on perception of respectful maternity care and postpartum blues among postpartum women in two hospitals in southern Iran.
Methodology: This quasi-experimental study was conducted on 437 postpartum women (217 mothers before the intervention and 220 mothers after the intervention) and 44 midwives working in the maternity ward of two hospitals affiliated to Bushehr University of Medical Sciences in 2023-2024.

Continuous and consistent access to quality medical imaging data stimulates innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for patient care. Breakthrough innovations in data-driven AI technologies are founded on seamless communication between data providers, data managers, data users and regulators or other evaluators to determine the standards for quality data. However, the complexity in imaging data quality and heterogeneous nature of AI-enabled medical devices and their intended uses presents several challenges limiting the clinical translation of novel AI technologies.

Background: Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), one of the most harmful members of the large group of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), is notorious for its environmental persistence, bioaccumulation, and toxic effects, raising serious environmental and health concerns. Developing rapid and sensitive methods to detect PFOS in water is critical for effective monitoring and protection against this hazardous chemical.
Results: In this study, we developed rapid and highly sensitive fluorometric sensors (PDI-2+ , PDI-6+ ) for detecting PFOS.

Machine learning (ML) algorithms hold significant potential for extracting valuable clinical information from big data, surpassing the processing capabilities of the human brain. However, it would be naïve to believe that ML algorithms can consistently transform data into actionable insights. Clinical studies suggest that in some instances, they tell clinicians what they already know or can plainly see.
