Objective: Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) is a well-established treatment for anxiety disorders in the general population. However, the efficacy of CBT for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and otherwise non-heterosexual or non-cisgender (LGBTQ+) people with anxiety disorders is still emerging in the literature. This protocol proposes an exploratory, two-group, randomized controlled trial comparing the efficacy of CBT for anxiety disorders against a waitlist control group.

Background: Juvenile Idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is one of the most common chronic diseases in children. It still remains a challenge to treat refractory poly-articular course JIA patients, especially in Bangladesh, where patients from low socio-economic backgrounds are unable to manage biological agents. Tofacitinib is one of the alternative options to biological agents, which can be taken orally and is cost effective.

Although viruses subvert innate immune pathways for their replication, there is evidence they can also co-opt antiviral responses for their benefit. The ubiquitous human pathogen, Herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1), encodes a protein (UL12.5) that induces the release of mitochondrial nucleic acid into the cytosol, which activates immune-sensing pathways and reduces productive replication in nonneuronal cells.

Background: Episiotomy is a surgical intervention performed during the second stage of labor to facilitate the baby's exit through the birth canal. There are different reasons that lead episiotomy; however, it is recommended performed occasionally and not systematically, since it may produce negative effects such as pain. Different therapies have been described to reduce this pain, including transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS).
