This article presents a list of insect types preserved in Kunming Natural History Museum of Zoology (KNHMZ). As of March, 2015, 3 412 type specimens belonging to 266 species/subspecies of 37 families in 9 orders (Odonata, Isoptera, Mantodea, Orthoptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera and Lepidoptera) are included. Information corrections of some specimens are provided in this article.

Objectives: To evaluate the shear bond strength (SBS) of universal cements (UCs) to dentin prepared with different diamond burs using various adhesive strategies.
Materials And Methods: One-hundred-twenty molars were prepared to expose the mid-coronal dentin. The teeth were divided into two groups according to diamond bur preparations: coarse and super-fine grit burs.
Background: Single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNAseq) allows for the dissection of the cell type-specific transcriptional profiles of tissue specimens. In this study, we compared gene expression in multiple brain cell types in brain tissue from Alzheimer disease (AD) cases with no or other co-existing pathologies including Lewy body disease (LBD) and vascular disease (VaD).
Method: We evaluated differential gene expression measured from single nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNAseq) data generated from the hippocampus region tissue donated by 11 BU ADRC participants with neuropathologically confirmed AD with or without a co-existing pathology (AD-only = 3, AD+VaD = 6, AD+LBD = 2).

Background: NCRAD is a National Institute on Aging (NIA) cooperative grant, awarded to Indiana University since 1990, whose purpose is to serve as a biorepository for AD/ADRD researchers. With 74 participating across 150 unique institutions, NCRAD links specimens to clinical research data. NCRAD maintains over 2 million aliquots from more than 126,000 research participants spanning a wide range of AD/ADRD related phenotypes as well as healthy controls.

Introduction: The exact triggers of gallstone formation remain incompletely understood, but research indicates that microbial infection is a significant factor and can interfere with treatment. There is no consensus on the bile microbial culture profiles in previous studies, and determining the microbial profile could aid in targeted prevention and treatment. The primary aim of this study is to investigate the differences in microbial communities cultured from bile specimens of patients with gallstones.

P53-abnormal endometrial carcinomas are high-grade and aggressive tumors which should be treated with chemo-/radiotherapy. In low-grade endometrioid carcinoma (LGEC), abnormal expression of p53 is an exceptional finding and is typically accompanied by patchy p16 positivity and diffuse hormone receptor expression. Herein, we report a case of LGEC exhibiting both p53 and p16 overexpression, highlighting the diagnostic pitfalls related to such phenotype.
