[Ni(L(1))Fe((t)BuNC)4](PF6)2 is a robust Ni(II)Fe(II) complex that undergoes a reversible one-electron reduction. Spectroscopic and theoretical studies show that [Ni(L(1))Fe((t)BuNC)4](+) is an unprecedented Ni(I)Fe(II) species that reproduces the electronic configuration of the Ni-L state of the [NiFe] hydrogenases.

Tetrahedral Lithium Stuffing in Disordered Rocksalt Cathodes for High-Power-Density and Energy-Density Batteries.

Chemical Sciences and Engineering Division, Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, Illinois 60439, United States.

Li-rich cation-disordered rocksalt (DRX) materials introduce new paradigms in the design of high-capacity Li-ion battery cathode materials. However, DRX materials show strikingly sluggish kinetics due to random Li percolation with poor rate performance. Here, we demonstrate that Li stuffing into the tetrahedral sites of the Mn-based rocksalt skeleton injects a novel tetrahedron-octahedron-tetrahedron diffusion path, which acts as a low-energy-barrier hub to facilitate high-speed Li transport.

T cell activation is accompanied by extensive changes in epigenome. However, the high-ordered chromatin organization underpinning CD8 T cell activation is not fully known. Here, we show extensive changes in the three-dimensional genome during CD8 T cell activation, associated with changes in gene transcription.

High-intensity focused ultrasound thermal ablation (HIFU) is a novel non-invasive technique in the treatment of liver metastases (LIM) that allows focal destruction and is not affected by dose limits. This retrospective study aimed to explore the efficacy of HIFU in improving survival and the safety of the method in newly diagnosed patients with cancer with LIM who received first-line immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy. Between January 2018 and December 2023, data from 438 newly diagnosed patients with cancer and LIM who were treated at Mianyang Central Hospital (Mianyang, China) were reviewed.

CO-templated [LnNi] heterometallic compounds for enhanced magnetocaloric effects at low fields.

State Key Laboratory of Materials-Oriented Chemical Engineering, College of Chemical Engineering, Nanjing Tech University, Nanjing 211816, P. R. China.

In the history of magnetochemistry development, lanthanide-transition (3d-4f) heterometallic compounds have been considered an attractive candidate for magnetic refrigerants. Herein, a series of heterometallic compounds have been designed and templated by CO anions, that is, {[LnNi(L)(CO)(HO)]·HO} [Ln = Gd (. Gd2Ni) = Sm (.

Background: Jianwei Xiaoshi oral liquid (JWXS), a classical traditional prescription comprising various edible medicinal plants, has demonstrated significant efficacy in treating paediatric indigestion. It originates from Jianpi Pill, which is developed in the Ming Dynasty and nourishes the spleen and regulates gastrointestinal function. However, the specific molecular mechanisms involved remain unclear.
