Purpose: To evaluate the role of computed tomography-dacryocystography (CT-DCG) in the management of traumatic secondary acquired lacrimal duct obstruction (SALDO) and study its correlation with the intra-operative findings.
Methods: Retrospective interventional case series. Eighty-five lacrimal drainage systems (LDS) of 79 patients diagnosed with traumatic SALDO, who underwent pre-operative CT-DCG, between January 2019 and June 2023, were analyzed.

Background: Persisting post-concussion symptoms (PPCS) is a condition characterized by prolonged recovery from a mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and compromised quality of life. Previous literature, on the basis of small sample sizes, concludes that there are several risk factors for the development of PPCS.
Objective: We seek to identify protective and risk factors for developing slow recovery or persisting post-concussion symptoms (PPCS) by analyzing medical history, contact sport level, setting, and the Sport Concussion Assessment Tool (SCAT) and Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI-18) assessments at baseline and post-injury.

The objective of this mini review is to discuss the role of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK US) in identification and treatment of pain generators in cervical spine in patients presenting with cervicogenic headache (CEH). CEH is a secondary headache arising from cervical nociceptive structures emerging from facet joints, intervertebral discs, nerves, muscles, fascia and ligaments. It presents a complex challenge in clinical management.

The predictive coding framework postulates that the human brain continuously generates predictions about the environment, maximizing successes and minimizing failures based on prior experiences and beliefs. This PRISMA-compliant systematic review aims to comprehensively and transdiagnostically examine the differences in predictive coding between individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders and healthy controls. We included 72 case-control studies investigating predictive coding as the primary outcome and reporting behavioral, neuroimaging, or electrophysiological findings.

Chitinase-3-like-1 (CHI3L1) is an evolutionarily conserved protein involved in key biological processes, including tissue remodeling, angiogenesis, and neuroinflammation. It has emerged as a significant player in various neurodegenerative diseases and brain disorders. Elevated CHI3L1 levels have been observed in neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), multiple sclerosis (MS), Neuromyelitis optica (NMO), HIV-associated dementia (HAD), Cerebral ischemic stroke (CIS), and brain tumors.
