A poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-b-poly(ethylene glycol) (PEDOT-b-PEG) block copolymer doped with perchlorate on FTO shows excellent optical and interfacial performance as a counter electrode (CE), such as low charge transfer resistance and low reflectivity for polymer electrolyte-based solid-state dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs), resulting in 8.45% energy conversion efficiency, greater than the common Pt CE, via a facile room-temperature process.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has dramatically advanced non-invasive human brain mapping and decoding. Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and high-density diffuse optical tomography (HD-DOT) non-invasively measure blood oxygen fluctuations related to brain activity, like fMRI, at the brain surface, using more-lightweight equipment that circumvents ergonomic and logistical limitations of fMRI. HD-DOT grids have smaller inter-optode spacing (~ 13 mm) than sparse fNIRS (~ 30 mm) and therefore provide higher image quality, with spatial resolution ~ 1/2 that of fMRI, when using the several source-detector distances (13-40 mm) afforded by the HD-DOT grid.

The high performance of two-dimensional (2D) channel membranes is generally achieved by preparing ultrathin or forming short channels with less tortuous transport through self-assembly of small flakes, demonstrating potential for highly efficient water desalination and purification, gas and ion separation, and organic solvent waste treatment. Here, we report the construction of vertical channels in graphene oxide (GO) membrane based on a substrate template with asymmetric pores. The membranes achieved water permeance of 2647 L m h bar while still maintaining an ultrahigh rejection rate of 99.

High-quality quantum dots (QDs) possess superior electroluminescent efficiencies and ultra-narrow emission linewidths are essential for realizing ultra-high definition QD light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). However, the synthesis of such QDs remains challenging. In this study, we present a facile high-temperature successive ion layer adsorption and reaction (HT-SILAR) strategy for the growth of precisely tailored ZnCdSe/ZnSe shells, and the consequent production of high-quality, large-particle, alloyed red CdZnSe/ZnCdSe/ZnSe/ZnS/CdZnS QDs.

From the perspective of sustainable development and practical applications, there is a significant demand for the design of advanced cellulose-based film materials with superior mechanical, optical, and functional properties utilizing environmentally friendly strategies. Herein, biodegradable, mechanically robust and flame-retardant cellulose films with adjustable optical performance were successfully fabricated by in situ synthesis of NH-UiO(Zr)-66 via a DMF-free green process at room temperature. The results indicate that the introduction of NH-UiO(Zr)-66 enables films to realize a desirable flame retardancy (the limiting oxygen index (LOI) increased significantly from 19.

To improve maneuverability, the focus of photoelectric theodolites is on reducing the weight of the primary mirror and enhancing its optical performance. This study uses MOAT and Sobol methods to identify key parameters that affect design. Using the high-sensitivity part as the optimization domain, six optimization results were obtained based on the multi-objective SIMP topology optimization method and synthesized into a compromise optimization structure.
