Background: The American Urologic Association (AUA) and the European Association of Urology (EAU) guidelines endorse percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) for symptomatic stones larger than 20 mm despite significant risks such as bleeding and urosepsis. Robotic pyelolithotomy (RPL) is emerging as an appealing alternative to PCNL, particularly for patients with anatomical variations like pelvic or horseshoe kidneys, malrotation, previous unsuccessful PCNL, and congenital renal anomalies such as ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO).
Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted involving patients from Miulli Hospital and A.

Background: Os subfibulare (OS) is commonly found in patients with chronic lateral ankle instability (CLAI). When performing lateral ligament reconstruction for CLAI, excision of a large OS can cause substantial lateral ligament defects making anatomic repair challenging. This study analyzed clinical and radiologic outcomes among patients who underwent osteosynthesis of the OS for chronic lateral ankle instability and a large OS.

Due to their ease of synthesis and large specific surface area, Ni(OH) nanosheets have emerged as promising electrochemical sensing materials, attracting significant attention in recent years. Herein, a series of oxy-hydroxides based on Ni(OH) nanosheets, including NiO/Ni(OH)@NF and (MNi)O/Ni(OH)@NF (M = Co, Fe, or Cr), are successfully synthesized the electrochemical oxidation and incorporation strategies. Electrochemical tests demonstrate that these Ni(OH)-based oxy-hydroxides exhibit excellent electrochemical oxidation activity for glucose in alkaline electrolyte.

Self-pretraining applies SSL on curated task-specific datasets without using task-specific labels. Increasing availability of public data repositories has now made it possible to utilize diverse and large, task unrelated datasets to pretrain models in the "wild" using SSL.

Preoperative identification of the Adamkiewicz artery (AKA) with adequate reconstruction or preservation during surgery is useful for protecting the spinal cord from ischemia during thoracoabdominal aortic repair. However, the identification of the AKA remains challenging in some cases, especially with chronic aortic dissection. In a 45-year-old man with chronic aortic dissection requiring thoracoabdominal aortic repair, conventional contrast-enhanced CT or MR angiography failed to detect AKA due to the large entry tear and an enlarged false lumen.
