The authors analyze the development of work incapacity in ambulatory patients treated in 1979-1987 by sex, age and period of work incapacity. They used graphic illustrations of time series with a regression line which indicates a rising or declining trend of work incapacity. The analysis revealed that the work incapacity has, with the exception of men aged 15-24 years, a rising trend in particular in women. According the authors this can be partly explained by changes and extension of therapeutic activities in ambulatory surgeries. Certain reserves are also in the planning of therapeutic procedures and control activity.

This study aimed to examine the employment status of patients who have experienced ischemic heart disease one year after undergoing cardiac rehabilitation. For this, a quasi-experimental pre-post study without a control group of active workers aged 18 to 65 years diagnosed with ischemic heart disease and included in a cardiac rehabilitation programme was conducted. Sociodemographic and occupational data, cardiovascular risk factors and clinical-therapeutic data on heart disease were collected.

Background: It is known that fractures of the pelvic ring and acetabulum in work-related accidents are associated with long periods of incapacity to work, a high rate of reduction in earning capacity (MdE) and high costs for pension/severance pay.
Objective: Investigation of changes in pension claims and costs from 2013 to 2019 after isolated fractures of the pelvic ring and acetabulum in work-related accidents in Germany.
Material And Methods: For all patients from the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) registry with isolated fractures of the pelvic ring or acetabulum in work-related accidents, linear trend analyses were carried out among others for the proportion of MdE ≥20%, the proportion of cases receiving pension/severance pay and total costs for pension/severance pay from 2013 to 2019.

Purpose: The particular relevance of mental disorders for society and the economy is highlighted in the context of work participation. Based on representative routine data from the pension insurance from 2017, the aim of the study was to describe a group of psychosomatic rehabilitation patients recruited on the basis of selected characteristics, examine the return to work (RTW) rates, to assess individual progression after rehabilitation and to identify possible influencing factors.
Methods: Work participation was operationalized both as a monthly state up to 24 months after rehabilitation and as a rate of all people who were employed 12 or 24 months and the 3 preceding months (stable work participation).
