Importance: Childhood maltreatment (CM) is associated with the early onset of psychiatric and medical disorders and accelerated biological aging.
Objective: To identify types of maltreatment and developmental sensitive periods that are associated with accelerated adult brain aging.
Design: Participants were mothers of infants recruited from the community into a study assessing the effects of CM on maternal behavior, infant attachment, and maternal and infant neurobiology.

In the treatment of brain tumors, accurate diagnosis and treatment heavily rely on reliable brain tumor segmentation, where multimodal Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) plays a pivotal role by providing valuable complementary information. This integration significantly enhances the performance of brain tumor segmentation. However, due to the uneven grayscale distribution, irregular shapes, and significant size variations in brain tumor images, this task remains highly challenging.

Sickle cell anemia (SCA) is recognized globally, but little is known about affected Hispanic populations. In partnership with Dominican Republic, a Hispanic Caribbean Island with a large SCA population, a TCD screening program provided hydroxyurea to children with conditional velocities. Building local capacity, ten Dominican medical graduates were certified in TCD examinations and trained in hydroxyurea management.
