Background: OBE001 is a novel, orally active nonpeptide oxytocin receptor antagonist under development for the treatment of preterm labor and improvement in embryo implantation and pregnancy rate in assisted reproductive technology (ART). The reproductive safety of OBE001 was evaluated in customized fertility embryonic development (FER)/early embryonic development (EED) and fetal development (FD) and pre/postnatal development (PPN) studies mimicking clinical exposure scenarios.
Methods: Oral OBE001 was evaluated at doses of 37.5, 75, and 125 mg/kg/d in female rats during a FER/EED study (from premating to implantation) and throughout FD during a FD/PPN study.
Results: No OBE001 effects were observed during the FER/EED study. The FD/PPN study did not result in adverse OBE001 effects in females allowed to litter, their offspring, and second-generation fetuses. Females at 125 mg/kg/d who underwent cesarean section before term had slight reductions in body weights and food consumption, and associated fetuses had slightly delayed ossification of skull bones, which was not adverse in the absence of effects on live offspring.
Conclusion: OBE001 at up to 125 mg/kg/d had no effects on EED and no adverse effects on FD and postnatal development of rats. These results constitute an important step toward the development of OBE001 in preterm labor and ART indications.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the effect of Gallic Acid (GA) on the alleviation of chemotherapy-induced bone marrow suppression, with a comparison to Diyu sheng bai tablets (DYSB) and RhG-CSF.
Methods: A mouse model of bone marrow suppression was established in BALB/c mice using intraperitoneal injections of cyclophosphamide (CTX). All procedures were performed after obtaining ethical clearance from the institutional animal ethics committee.

The study evaluated the short-term effectiveness and tolerability of vigabatrin therapy in children with infantile epileptic spasms syndrome (IESS). Children with IESS were enrolled within two weeks of initiation of vigabatrin and prospectively followed up to 12 wk for complete cessation of epileptic spasms (ES) and occurrence of adverse events. Of 107 children studied, there was a preponderance of structural etiology (82.

Background: Acute lung injury (ALI)/acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) has long posed challenges in clinical practice, lacking established preventive and therapeutic approaches. Lianhua Qingke (LHQK), a patented traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), has been found to have anti-inflammatory effects for ameliorating ALI/ARDS induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). This study aimed to investigate the effects and potential mechanisms of LHQK on endothelial protection in LPS-induced ALI/ARDS and in LPS-induced human pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells (HPMECs) injury
Methods: In the animal experiment, we induced an ALI/ARDS model by intratracheal injection of LPS (5 mg/mL).

Coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide, and there is an increasing concern of the health risk of coffee consumption in pregnancy. Preeclampsia (PE) is a serious pregnancy disease that causes elevated blood pressure and proteinuria in pregnant women and growth restriction of fetuses due to poorly developed placental vasculature. The aim of our study is to investigate the possible effect of coffee intake during pregnancy in rats with potential underlying vasculature conditions.

Hexafluoropropylene oxide trimer acid (HFPO-TA) is an emerging environmental pollutant that can accumulate in air and surface water. Currently, it has been widely used in fluoropolymer industry, which could cause serious environmental pollution. Due to the high bioaccumulation, the accumulation of pollutants may have an adverse effect on the normal physiological function of the kidneys.
