Background And Objective: Inferring large-scale brain networks from functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) provides more detailed and richer connectivity information, which is critical for gaining insight into brain structure and function and for predicting clinical phenotypes. However, as the number of network nodes increases, most existing methods suffer from the following limitations: (1) Traditional shallow models often struggle to estimate large-scale brain networks. (2) Existing deep graph structure learning models rely on downstream tasks and labels.

This study contributes new insights into whether volunteering improves the employment prospects of jobless individuals by examining its relationship with the speed at which they secure new jobs- an outcome that has received limited attention in previous research. Our comprehensive data enables us to investigate this by constructing an event history dataset that merges information from the Danish Volunteer Survey with administrative register data. Our results show that when we adjust for variations in education and labor market experience, jobless individuals who volunteer remain unemployed approximately two weeks or 31 percent longer than those who do not.

Here, we report a synthesis of fluoroquinolones carrying a monoterpene moiety at the C7 position of aromatic structure. The minimal inhibitory concentrations of fluoroquinolone fused with trans-3-hydroxy-cis-myrtanylamine 18 against Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA isolates) were two- to eightfold lower compared to moxifloxacin, although fourfold higher against MRSA isolates. The fluoroquinolone fused with (-)-nopylamine 16 was four- to eightfold less active on MSSA compared to moxifloxacin, while had similar activity on MRSA.

Objective: To quantify the otolaryngologic diagnoses encountered in outpatient clinics by otolaryngology-head and neck surgery (OHNS) residents during their 5 years of postgraduate training.

Methods: This is a retrospective review at a single institution following 5 consecutive graduating resident cohorts throughout their training. The electronic health record was queried for OHNS clinic encounters from 2013 through 2022 during which the resident physicians were included as the visit provider or assistant to an attending physician.

Objective: The Hispanic health paradox (HHP), the observation that Hispanic people in the United States often experience better health outcomes than non-Hispanic people despite having worse prognostic factors, has not been evaluated for patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), a malignancy with marked racial disparities in outcomes. The objective of this study is to evaluate the HHP within the context of HNSCC.
