The histories and clinical findings of 1000 emergency dental care patients have been documented and evaluated. The majority of these patients had pain symptoms of varying duration and genesis. In a high percentage of the cases analgesic therapy was provided using combined preparations. The indication for emergency dental care of pain patients is discussed.
