A man in his 20s presented with complaints of unilateral nasal obstruction for the past 6 years that progressively worsened leading to irrational use of over-the-counter nasal decongestants. With the worsening of symptoms, a non-contrast CT was done. It showed a dense expansile sclerotic lesion of the right inferior turbinate, which was excised endoscopically.

Infrastructure maxillectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the lower part of the maxilla and hard palate. The objective of the present study was to analyze clinical data and treatment outcome of patients who underwent infrastructure maxillectomy between 2011 and 2019. A total of 13 patients who underwent infrastructure maxillectomy for maxillary sinus and hard palate neoplasms between 2011 and 2019 were analyzed.

Osteomas are benign, slow growing bone tumors often seen in paranasal sinuses, mostly in the frontal sinus, whereas they are rare in the nasal cavity. Inferior turbinate osteoma is extremely rare and our case is the third reported in the literature to date. Symptoms vary depending on the location, size and spreading and nasal obstruction is the most common symptom.

A 15-month-old female child presented with progressive right-sided facial swelling, nasal obstruction, and deviation of the nose to the left. Computed tomography revealed a cystic mass in the maxillary sinus with disruption of the medial orbital floor. Incisional biopsy of this mass was nondiagnostic and the mass continued to grow rapidly.

This prospective longitudinal study was done to determine extent of tumor and to highlight the importance of lateral rhinotomy approach for nasopharyngeal angiofibroma. Patients with a diagnosis of nasopharyngeal angiofibroma who underwent surgery in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu from April, 2004 to Jan 2009 were included in the study. Extent of tumour and surgical approaches were noted in a special form prepared for the study.
