Background: Previous studies showed sex differences in the prevalences of both major depressive disorder (MDD) and subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH). This study aimed to further compare the prevalence and correlates of moderate-to-severe SCH between male and female Chinese MDD patients.
Methods: A total of 1706 first-episode drug naïve Chinese patients with MDD were recruited.

Objective: This study aimed to determine whether a relationship exist between pre-therapy 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and the remission/negative conversion rates of thyrotropin receptor antibody (TRAB) during treatment in patients with newly diagnosed Graves' disease (GD).
Methods: 171 patients were included from the Endocrinology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University in March 2013 to April 2016. Ninety-five patients of them were diagnosed at our hospital but transferred to local hospitals for treatment.

Purpose: This study aimed to determine the detection rate of autoimmune polyendocrine syndrome (APS) among children with Graves' disease (GD) at a single center and to compare clinical characteristics between those with isolated GD and those GD with APS (APS-GD).
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 555 patients and were categorized into isolated GD and APS-GD groups based on their progression status. The time for FT to return to normal was used as an indicator of short-term treatment effectiveness.

However, available studies on burden of thyroid diseases in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), particularly its prevalence and its interaction with HIV related factors (like CD4 count), are controversial. This review aimed to provide a comprehensive summary and analysis on the extent of thyroid dysfunctions in this population.
