The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in many survivors experiencing post-acute COVID-19 syndrome (PCS) with symptoms including fatigue, breathlessness, and cognitive complaints. E-cigarette use has already been associated with increased susceptibility to COVID-19 because of its effects on ACE2 receptor expression and inflammation, raising concern that it might worsen the long-term outcomes of COVID-19, including PCS. While traditional smoking is associated with a higher risk of PCS, the role of e-cigarettes remains unclear due to conflicting evidence.

E-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury (EVALI) is a potentially severe acute interstitial lung disease primarily observed in the United States, with sporadic cases reported in Europe. EVALI, though rare, could be susceptible to under-diagnosis due to limited awareness and diagnostic suspicion. We present a case of a 19-year-old male in Denmark diagnosed with severe EVALI.

Background: E-cigarette use remains high among adolescents, underscoring the need to identify targetable risk factors for intervention. This study examines associations between two social norms constructs (prevalence misperceptions and social acceptability) and at-risk status for e-cigarette use among Texas early adolescents.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional analysis of baseline data from the CATCH My Breath study, which included n=1032 Texas sixth graders.

Introduction: Indoor air pollution represents a major health problem in developing countries. Common sources of contaminants include biomass fuels, dust mites, mold, and insecticides, which are frequently found in Latin American households due to cultural, geographical, and socioeconomic conditions. Additionally, tobacco consumption and e-cigarette use are both frequent in the region and represent another source of air pollution.
