The development of magnetofection technology has brought a promising method for gene delivery. Here, we develop a novel liposomal magnetofection system, consisted of magnetic nanoparticle and liposome through molecular assembly, was applied to introduce double genes into porcin somatic cells with high co-transfection efficiency. The performace of liposomal magnetic gene nanovectors has been evaluated by involving the micro morphology, diameters distribution, zeta potentials and the capacity of loading DNA molecules. The assembly way among magnetic gene nanovectors and DNA molecules was investigated by atomic force microscopy. Liposomal nano magnetic gene vectors complexes displayed nanoscale assembly and formed compact "fishing-net structure" after combining with plasmid DNA, which is favorable to enhance the loading capacity of DNA molecules.

This study enrolled 10 patients diagnosed with premalignant lesions and early-stage gastric cardia adenocarcinoma (GCA), confirmed through endoscopic examination. These patients were subjected to next-generation sequencing (NGS) using a customized 1123-gene panel to identify genetic alterations and signaling pathways. The results were compared to stage IIB to IV GCA samples from the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) and a cohort of Hong Kong patients.

Rationale: Developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE) defines a group of severe and heterogeneous neurodevelopmental disorders. The voltage-gated potassium channel subfamily 2 voltage-gated potassium channel α subunit encoded by the KCNB1 gene is essential for neuronal excitability. Previous studies have shown that KCNB1 variants can cause DEE.

In single cells, variably sized nanoscale chromatin structures are observed, but it is unknown whether these form a cohesive framework that regulates RNA transcription. Here, we demonstrate that the human genome is an emergent, self-assembling, reinforcement learning system. Conformationally defined heterogeneous, nanoscopic packing domains form by the interplay of transcription, nucleosome remodeling, and loop extrusion.

Background: We examined chronic gadolinium retention impact on gene expression in the mouse central nervous system (CNS) after injection of linear or macrocyclic gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs).
Methods: From 05/2022 to 07/2023, 36 female mice underwent weekly intraperitoneal injections of gadodiamide (2.5 mmol/kg, linear), gadobutrol (2.

Theranostic agents hold great promise for personalized medicine by combining diagnostic and therapeutic functions. Herein, two novel multifunctional theranostic glyconanoprobes targeting breast cancer were engineered for synergistic dual chemo-gene therapy and triple chemo-gene-photothermal therapy. Upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) were prepared and coated with a Dox-loaded glycopeptide polymer (P-Dox) to form UCNP@P-Dox for improving stability.
