Automated Vehicles (AVs) are on the cusp of commercialization, prompting global governments to organize the forthcoming mobility phase. However, the advancement of technology alone cannot guarantee the successful commercialization of AVs without insights into the accidents on the read roads where Human-driven Vehicles (HV) coexist. To address such an issue, The New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) is currently in progress, and scenario-based approaches have been spotlighted.

The essential shortcoming of rapid passivation deactivation limits the efficient application of nano zero-valent iron (nZVI) in eliminating disinfection byproducts from drinking water. Copper-coated nano zero-valent iron (Cu-nZVI) bimetallic composites were synthesized to efficiently activate persulfate (PS) to remove nitrosopyrrolidine (NPYR). By introducing Cu-coated coatings, nZVI is protected from direct contact with PS; thus, Cu-nZVI appears to activate PS efficiently and stably without rapid deactivation.

Research on metasurface sensors with high sensitivity, strong specificity, good biocompatibility and strong integration is the key to promote the application of terahertz waves in the field of biomedical detection. However, traditional metallic terahertz metasurfaces have shortcomings such as poor biocompatibility and large ohmic loss in the terahertz frequency band, impeding their further application and integration in the field of biosensing detection. Here, we overcome this challenge by proposing a high-performance terahertz metasurface based on gold nanoparticles and single-walled carbon nanotubes composite film.

This study aimed to address the limitations of conventional methods for measuring skeletal muscle mass for sarcopenia diagnosis by introducing an artificial intelligence (AI) system for direct computed tomography (CT) analysis. The primary focus was on enhancing simplicity, reproducibility, and convenience, and assessing the accuracy and speed of AI compared with conventional methods. A cohort of 3096 cases undergoing CT imaging up to the third lumbar (L3) level between 2011 and 2021 were included.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is considered one of the most valuable diagnostic technologies in the 21st century. To enhance the image contrast of anatomical features, MRI contrast agents have been widely used in clinical MRI diagnosis, especially those based on gadolinium, manganese, and iron oxide. However, these metal-based MRI contrast agents show potential toxicity to patients, which urges researchers to develop novel MRI contrast agents that can replace metal-based MRI contrast agents.
