Background: Murraya paniculata is traditionally used for management of gut, air way and cardiovascular disorders. The study was conducted for provision of pharmacological rationalization for folkloric uses of Murraya paniculata in gut, air way and cardiovascular problems.
Methods: Aqueous-ethanolic extract of Mp.Cr was tested using in vitro techniques on isolated tissue of rabbit (jejunum, trachea and aorta) to detect the possible presence of spasmolytic activity. The responses of tissues were recorded using isotonic transducers coupled with PowerLab data acquisition system.
Results: Application of the extract of Mp.Cr relaxed spontaneous and high K(+) (80mM)-induced contraction in rabbit jejunum preparation. Because it shifted the CRCs (Calcium response curve) towards the right side so the possible blockade was of calcium channel similar to verapamil. In rabbit trachea, extract of Mp.Cr produced relaxation of carbachol and high K(+) induced contractions. When plant extract was checked further on isolated aorta for its possible vasodilator effect, it caused relaxation of phenylephrine and high K(+)-induced spastic contractions at different doses.
Conclusion: These results indicate that Murraya paniculata shows anti-spasmodic, bronchodilator and vasodilator activity facilitated through Ca(++) antagonist mechanisms.

To promote the conservation and utilization of the germplasm resources and provide a basis for the breeding of new varieties of Murraya paniculata, this study analyzed the genetic diversity of the germplasm resources and developed the molecular identity(ID) card of M. paniculata. Multiple fluorescence PCR-capillary electrophoresis was performed for 65 germplasm accessions of M.

The study on (Orange Jasmine) stem bark extract found it to have antioxidant and cytotoxic proper-ties. The structures of the isolated phytoconstituents were determined using NMR spectroscopy. Compounds were evaluated for their potential to be aldose reductase inhibitors using molecular docking and dynamics (MD) simulations.

Temporal histolocalization of floral volatiles in the petal epidermis of Murraya paniculata was found to be linked with the coordinated expression of candidate genes and successive accumulation of an internal pool of volatiles. Murraya paniculata (Rutaceae) is known for its highly fragrant ephemeral flowers that emit volatiles to attract nocturnal pollinators. To unfold the patterns of volatile emission in relation to floral life-span, we studied time-course accumulation and emission rate of scent volatiles at six timepoints of floral maturation, at an interval of 4 h starting from the bud stage to the senescence stage on the next day.

The Defective in Induced Resistance 1 () gene, a member of the lipid transferase proteins (LTPs), plays a crucial role in plant defense against pathogens. While previous transcriptomic studies have highlighted the significant expression of citrus LTPs during biotic stress, functional annotations of LTPs in the genera remain limited. In this study, we cloned the ( gene and overexpressed it in to evaluate its stress response mechanisms against biotic stress.
