BIM-Enabled Asset Information Modelling (AIM) entails incorporating extensive data, known as big data, into digital platforms for informed decision-making. However, the lack of accurate and reliable data and the immaturity of BIM integration in existing buildings lead to operational phase performance inefficiencies due to inadequate data access. A strategic approach using BIM-enabled AIM is proposed to address these challenges, with the goal of enhancing data accessibility and adequacy for the operational team's performance.

Brain neurons utilize the primary cilium as a privileged compartment to detect and respond to extracellular ligands such as Sonic hedgehog (SHH). However, cilia in cerebellar granule cell (GC) neurons disassemble during differentiation through ultrastructurally unique intermediates, a process we refer to as cilia deconstruction. In addition, mature neurons do not reciliate despite having docked centrioles.

Using a combination of fMRI, EEG, and phenomenology ratings, we examined the neurophenomenology of advanced concentrative absorption meditation, namely jhanas (ACAM-J), in a practitioner with over 23,000 h of meditation practice. Our study shows that ACAM-J states induce reliable changes in conscious experience and that these experiences are related to neural activity. Using resting-state fMRI functional connectivity, we found that ACAM-J is associated with decreased within-network modularity, increased global functional connectivity (GFC), and desegregation of the default mode and visual networks.

Progressive fibrosis can lead to tissue malfunction and organ failure due to the pathologic accumulation of a collagen-rich extracellular matrix. In vitro models provide useful tools for deconstructing the roles of specific biomechanical or biological mechanisms, such as substrate micro- and nanoscale architecture, in these processes for identifying potential therapeutic targets. Here, we investigated how the mechanosensitive ion channel PIEZO1 influences fibrotic gene and protein expression in adipose-derived stem cells (hASCs).

Supramolecular chemistry explores non-covalent interactions between molecules, and it has facilitated the design of functional materials and understanding of molecular self-assembly processes. We investigate a captivating class of supramolecular structures, the guanidinium and hydrogen carbonate rosette layers. These rosette layers are composed of guanidinium cations and carbonate anions, exhibiting intricate hydrogen-bonding networks that lead to their unique structural properties.
