The age dependence of haemoglobin denaturation temperature in the composition of erythrocytes is established. Children have a much more expressed correlation of this temperature depending on the type and stage of disease than the adult. It is found that children ill with leukemia have haemoglobin, the value of heat denaturation of which is decreased about 15-25% in relation to the norm. Tests are created. They allow to reveal leukemia by heat parameters of haemoglobin denaturation of the whole blood.

Background: Underserved and underrepresented populations often lack access to affordable, quality healthcare, educational resources, and nutritious foods, all of which contribute to increased risk of Type 2 Diabetes and gout. Type 2 Diabetes is a condition characterized by the denaturation of the insulin receptors, due to chronically high blood glucose levels, leading to impaired regulation of blood sugar. Gout is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting joints in the lower limbs, marked by elevated serum urate levels and the accumulation of uric acid crystals in synovial fluid, causing painful flare-ups that significantly impact quality of life.

Hb is used as a carrier protein to encapsulate hydrophobic drugs PTX and MYN and has applications in cancer treatment. PTX and MYN encapsulated Hb NPs are synthesized by the acid denature method and are characterized by spectroscopic and electron microscopic techniques. The binding constant calculated for Hb and PTX is 3.

spectroscopy investigations of the redox reactions in heme and heme-proteins.

Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru 560012, Karnataka, India.

spectroscopic investigations during molecular redox processes provide unique insights into complex molecular structures and their transformations. Herein, a combination of a potentiodynamic method with spectroscopy has been employed to holistically investigate the structural transformations during Fe-redox (Fe ↔ Fe) of hemin vis á vis heme-proteins, myoglobin (Mb), hemoglobin (Hb) and cytochrome- (Cyt-). The UV-vis findings reveal the formation of hemozoin (≈heme-dimer), which can be selectively prevented a high concentration of strongly interacting ligands, histidine (the fifth coordinating ligand in the heme-based protein).

In the realm of disease diagnostics, particularly for conditions such as proteinuria and hemoglobinuria, the quest for a method that combines accurate, label-free detection of protein compositions and their conformational changes remains a formidable challenge. In this study, we introduce an innovative Ag/Au plasmonic hybrid coupling nanoarray (Ag/Au PHCN) architecture marked by sub-10 nm interparticle gaps. These nanoarrays, leveraging plasmonic hybrid coupling and synergistic enhancement mechanisms, create a plethora of uniform surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) hotspots.

Heme d formation in a Shewanella benthica hemoglobin.

In our continued investigations of microbial globins, we solved the structure of a truncated hemoglobin from Shewanella benthica, an obligate psychropiezophilic bacterium. The distal side of the heme active site is lined mostly with hydrophobic residues, with the exception of a tyrosine, Tyr34 (CD1) and a histidine, His24 (B13). We found that purified SbHbN, when crystallized in the ferric form with polyethylene glycol as precipitant, turned into a green color over weeks.
