We report in this paper an analysis of double-tuned (1)H/(2)H circuits that are capacitively or inductively matched to 50 Ω ports. In this analysis we use a novel new parameter called the circuit fill factor (CFF). It provides a means of characterizing the performance degradation associated with additional inductors in the circuit in addition to circuit losses. This parameter allows for quick and insightful analysis of multiple tuned circuits for efficiency. It is also shown that magnetically coupled double-tuned circuits are less prone to unwanted spurious resonances due to their general symmetry which eliminates multiple ground paths in the circuit.

Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate bacterial proliferation within the internal circuits of anesthesia machines in post-anesthesia care units (PACUs) following the implementation of the new protocol, where 'a single dedicated external circuit is used for each individual patient.' This measure was introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic, in alignment with a novel prevention and control strategy.
Methods: Using the observational technique, we analyzed anesthesia machines in PACUs between July and September 2022.

The human brain is a complex spiking neural network (SNN) capable of learning multimodal signals in a zero-shot manner by generalizing existing knowledge. Remarkably, it maintains minimal power consumption through event-based signal propagation. However, replicating the human brain in neuromorphic hardware presents both hardware and software challenges.

Purpose: The AVeNEW Post-Approval Study (AVeNEW PAS) follows upon results from the AVeNEW IDE clinical trial and was designed to provide additional clinical evidence of safety and effectiveness using the Covera™ Vascular Covered Stent to treat arteriovenous fistula (AVF) stenoses in a real-world hemodialysis patient population.
Materials And Methods: One hundred AVF patients were prospectively enrolled at 11 clinical trial sites in the USA and treated with the covered stent after angioplasty of a clinically significant target stenosis. The primary safety outcome was freedom from any adverse event that suggests the involvement of the AV access circuit evaluated at 30 days.

Over the last two years the idea that the principles presented in Kirchhoff's circuit and voltage laws also pertain to pharmacokinetics (1-3). It is claimed that these principles make the elimination in the liver and kidney more straight forward to model and provide a rationale for understanding why sometimes during bioavailability studies one arrives at bioavailability values greater than 100%. In this paper it will be shown that these claims are based on incorrect translations of the Kirchhoff's Laws to pharmacokinetics.

Postpartum depression (PPD) affects up to 20% of new mothers and has adverse consequences for the well-being of both mother and child. Exposure to stress during pregnancy as well as dysregulation in the mesolimbic dopamine (DA) reward system and its upstream modulator oxytocin (OT) have been independently linked to PPD. However, no studies have directly examined DA or OT signaling in the postpartum brain after gestational stress.
