It was designed a fast solid state electronic waveform recording system (Digitalizer), which can record, store and display action potentials or any type of event, either single pulse or repetitive, as a function of time. Above all, its capacity to record fast transients and to give the output in analog and digital form, makes this electronic device more convenient that conventional recorders or single trace oscilloscope systems.

Mapping the landscape of Hospital at home (HaH) care: a validated taxonomy for HaH care model classification.

BMC Health Serv Res

January 2025

Institute Patient-Centered Digital Health, Bern University of Applied Sciences, Quellgasse 21, Biel, 2502, Switzerland.

Background: Hospital at home (HaH) care models have gained significant attention due to their potential to reduce healthcare costs, improve patient satisfaction, and lower readmission rates. However, the lack of a standardized classification system has hindered systematic evaluation and comparison of these models. Taxonomies serve as classification systems that simplify complexity and enhance understanding within a specific domain.

Assessing the financial burden of multimorbidity among patients aged 30 and above in India.

BMC Health Serv Res

January 2025

Health Systems Transformation Platform (HSTP), AISF Building, First Floor, Kalka Devi Marg, Lajpat Nagar IV, New Delhi, 110024, India.

Background: Multimorbidity is associated with significant out-of-pocket expenditures (OOPE) and catastrophic health expenditure (CHE), especially in low- and middle-income countries like India. Despite this, there is limited research on the financial burden of multimorbidity in outpatient and inpatient care, and cross-state comparisons of CHE are underexplored.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional analysis using nationally representative data from the National Sample Survey 75th Round 'Social Consumption in India: Health (2017-18)', focusing on patients aged 30 and above in outpatient and inpatient care in India.

Corrective osteotomy for upper limb deformities caused by fractures, trauma, or degeneration necessitates detailed preoperative planning to ensure accurate anatomical alignment, restore limb length, and correct angular deformities. This review evaluates the effectiveness of a three-dimensional (3D) preoperative planning program and an image fusion system designed for intraoperative guidance during corrective osteotomy procedures. The application processes and clinical outcomes observed with these technologies in various surgical scenarios involving the upper extremities were summarized.

Background: Numerous noncontrast computed tomography (NCCT) markers have been reported and validated as effective predictors of hematoma expansion (HE). Our objective was to develop and validate a score based on NCCT markers and clinical characteristics to predict risk of HE in acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) patients.

Methods: We prospectively collected spontaneous ICH patients at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University to form the development cohort (n = 395) and at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University to establish the validation cohort (n = 139).
