Objective: Systematic review of manual small incision cataract surgery (MSICS) and phacoemulsification (PHACO) on the postoperative visual quality and surgical complications.

Methods: Relevant literatures on clinical efficacy of PHACO and MSICS were included by retrieving in Medline, PubMed, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) and Chinese Academic Journal (CNKI) databases. Meta-analysis was conducted by RevMan5.0 software with OR and its 95% CI for the effect size.

Results: A total of ten documents were included in the study. Uncorrected visual acuity 1 week after surgery (OR = 0.84, 95% CI: 0.67 ~ 1.06, P=0.15), post-operative capsular rupture (OR = 1.07, 95% CI: 0.73~1.58, P=0.72), and corneal edema (OR = 0.90, 95% CI: 0.70~1.16, P=0.42) between MSICS and PHACO showed no statistical difference (P > 0.05).

Conclusion: Clinical efficacy and complications of MSICS was similar tothat of PHACO.

With the rapid development of the autonomous vehicles industry, there has been a dramatic proliferation of research concerned with related works, where road markings detection is an important issue. When there is no public open data in a field, we must collect road markings data and label them by ourselves manually, which is huge labor work and takes lots of time. Moreover, object detection often encounters the problem of small object detection.

Hemorrhage remains a leading cause of death in both military and civilian trauma settings. Oftentimes, the control and treatment of hemorrhage requires central vascular access and well-trained medical personnel. Automated technology is being developed that can lower the skill threshold for life-saving interventions.

AI-based breast cancer detection can improve the sensitivity and specificity of detection, especially for small lesions, which has clinical value in realizing early detection and treatment so as to reduce mortality. The two-stage detection network performs well; however, it adopts an imprecise ROI during classification, which can easily include surrounding tumor tissues. Additionally, fuzzy noise is a significant contributor to false positives.

With the increasing importance of meat quality inspection, traditional manual evaluation methods face challenges in terms of efficiency and accuracy. To improve the precision and efficiency of pork quality assessment, an automated detection method based on computer vision technology is proposed for evaluating different parts and freshness of pork. First, high-resolution cameras were used to capture image data of Jinfen white pigs, covering three pork cuts-hind leg, loin, and belly-across three different collection times.

Objective The objective of this study is to compare patient-reported outcome measures using the Catquest Questionnaire in patients undergoing phacoemulsification (Phaco) versus manual small-incision cataract surgery (MSICS). Materials and methods This descriptive cross-sectional study included patients aged 40 years and older with cataracts classified as nuclear sclerosis (NS) grade 3 or higher. Demographic details were recorded and a comprehensive ophthalmological exam was done.
