One of the principal issues concerning the analysis of industrial health care functioning is the problem of the practitioners' qualifications, including specialization. In the present paper the authors focus their attention on specializations of practitioners employed in regional Industrial Health Care Complexes. The analysis refers to two groups of problems concerning: a) those practitioners who are specialists in occupational health, and b) those who are going to obtain such specialization. The authors refer to the personnel of the industrial health care as a whole and pay special attention to those who are employed in the districts where seats of Industrial Health Care Complexes are located.

Fujian Engineering Research Center for Green Pest Management/Fujian Key Laboratory for Monitoring and Integrated Management of Crop Pests/East China Branch of the National Center for Agricultural Biosafety Sciences, Institute of Plant Protection, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Fuzhou 350013, China.

Azole and benzimidazole fungicides are widely used agrochemicals to prevent and treat fungal growth and are frequently detected in aquatic environments. Here, we aimed to assess the aquatic ecological risks of ten currently used azole and benzimidazole fungicides, which with the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) agonistic activity, and their transformation products (TPs). We obtained over 400 types of aerobic TPs for ten fungicides.

Graphene is the first 2D atomic crystal, and its isolation heralded a new era in materials science with the emergence of several other atomically thin materials displaying multifunctional properties. The safety assessment of new materials is often something of an afterthought, but in the case of graphene, the initial isolation and characterization of the material was soon followed by the assessment of its potential impact on living systems. The Graphene Flagship project addressed the health and environmental aspects of graphene and other 2D materials, providing an instructive lesson in interdisciplinarity - from materials science to biology.

Globally, healthcare workers (HCWs) are at greater risk of contracting Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection than the general population, due to their frequent contact with blood or body fluids. For this reason, WHO underlined the importance of HBV immunization for all HCWs. Although sex is now considered one of the key factors influencing the intensity and duration of the immune response to vaccines, sex-specific analysis of vaccine-induced anti-HBs antibodies is rarely conducted.
