Background: Our previous study has identified an association of a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in the miR-423 gene with recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). The presence of additional RSA-linked SNPs in the miR-423 gene remains unclear.
Methods: We evaluated polymorphisms in the coding region of miR-423 in Han Chinese women with unexplained RSA (URSA).

Purpose: Prior research demonstrates that children with autism are more likely to experience unintentional injuries than the general population. Limited research exists on the symptoms or traits directly related to autism and this elevated injury rate, especially from the perspective of families with children with autism. This study used qualitative methodology to elucidate risk factors that may contribute to unintentional injuries in children with autism from the perspective of mothers raising children with autism.

In recent years, there has been a surge in the production of kombucha-a functional beverage obtained via microbial fermentation of tea. However, fresh, unpasteurized kombucha is sensitive to quality deterioration as a result of, among other factors, oxidation. The addition of hops seems to be promising, due to their antioxidative properties, which may improve the stability of kombucha.
