In this report we describe a case in which a previously healthy 7 year-old male developed acute epiglottitis secondary to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. This patient required fiberoptic intubation and ICU stay. We discuss epiglottitis diagnosis and management with EBV as the primary etiologic agent.

An 11-month-old female Japanese macaque (Macaca fuscata), born in captivity in a research institute, suddenly died without clinical signs. Extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type (ENKTL) is uncommon in the United States. We report 73 patients with ENKTL, including 49 men and 24 women (median age, 46 y).
