Neurosyphilis, a rare manifestation of spreading into the central nervous system, is a critical differential diagnosis due to its potentially severe neurologic effects if left untreated. We present a case of a 37-year-old woman who complained of bilateral vision loss and headaches originally concerning for idiopathic intracranial hypertension and uncontrolled diabetes. Comprehensive evaluations eventually led to a neurosyphilis diagnosis.

This case report revolves around a 73-year-old male patient who initially sought medical attention due to left lower extremity weakness. Suspicions of a potential vascular etiology arose during the initial clinical examination, prompting further investigation. Unexpectedly, computed tomography (CT) imaging of the abdomen and pelvis revealed the presence of three giant aneurysms.

To describe the case of an elderly man who was incidentally found to have multiple hypopigmented choroidal lesions in the left eye in the absence of intraocular inflammation. A case report was analyzed, including the laboratory workup and imaging results. The workup for conditions, including birdshot chorioretinopathy, syphilis, and tuberculosis, were negative.

Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction (JHR) is a transient clinical phenomenon in patients with syphilis who receive antibiotic treatment. A 31-year-old man with an underlying HIV infection presented with worsening vision in the right eye two days after being treated with oral doxycycline for presumed left-eye neuroretinitis. Prior history revealed two episodes of penile discharge and ulcers that were not investigated.
