Objectives: To identify specific complications associated with testicle prosthesis at our dedicated transgender surgery center, over a long follow up period exceeding 5 years.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective chart review of all transmasculine patients undergoing testicular implants after metoidioplasty or phalloplasty between January 2016 to November 2019, stopping the series in 2019 to allow at least 3 year follow up.
Results: 23 patients were identified, 16 (70%) of whom had a prior metoidioplasty and 7 (30%) with prior phalloplasty receiving only testicular implants (no penile implant).

The penis, the organ that bears reproductive and psychological importance, is susceptible to birth defects such as hypospadias or incomplete closure of urethra along the penis shaft. We discover that proper urethral closure in mouse embryos requires a unique mesenchymal cell population originated from outside of the penis. These "extragenital" cells, marked by a lineage marker , migrate from the inguinal region into the embryonic penis and facilitate urethra closure by interacting with adjacent periurethral cells via the epidermal growth factor pathway.

As a result of the increased sensitivity of forensic DNA techniques, which can generate informative results from as little as a few cells, developing an understanding of the anatomical region these cells originate from is becoming more pertinent. Imaging Flow Cytometry (IFC) represents a promising method for identifying epithelial cells from different anatomical regions. This project aimed to determine whether IFC could be used to distinguish epithelial cells collected from different forensically relevant anatomical regions based on their morphology and autofluorescence.

Pseudomyogenic hemangioendothelioma (PHE) is a rare, usually multifocal neoplasm typically affecting individuals in the second-to-fourth decade of life, with a male predominance. It often arises in the distal extremities and characteristically involves multiple tissue planes. Presentation of this neoplasm as a primary penile lesion is exceedingly rare, with only five cases previously documented in the literature.
