is an opportunistic pathogen causing lifethreatening infections in humans, particularly in immunocompromised patients, neonates and the elderly. We report a case of central line-associated bloodstream infection by in a 2.5-year-old girl with acute lymphoblastic leukemia successfully treated with a combination of piperacillin/tazobactam and amikacin.

Background: meningitis is rare and challenging to manage infection. As this infection is always associated with superimposed multidrug-resistant organisms, a combination and prolonged antibiotic treatment are necessary to ensure the complete eradication of infections.
Case Description: We report successful antibiotic therapies in a patient with bacteremia and meningitis complicated with superimposed extreme-drug-resistant infection in a patient post transsphenoidal hypophysectomy complicated with central venous thrombosis.
