Restricted access to the American Indian Records Repository (AIRR) poses significant problems for expert witness historians working outside the federal government, as well as for academic historians and tribes. The authors discuss the creation of the AIRR in 2004, the records housed there, and the challenges they have experienced as expert witnesses seeking access to the AIRR. Although the AIRR preserves a far greater volume of federal records than might have otherwise occurred, the lack of public access may ultimately impede historians' ability to examine modern topics in Native American history and United States-tribal relations.

Antiangiogenic drugs may cause vascular normalization and correct hypoxia in tumors, shifting cells to mitochondrial respiration as the primary source of energy. In turn, the addition of an inhibitor of mitochondrial respiration to antiangiogenic therapy holds potential to induce synthetic lethality. This study evaluated the mitochondrial inhibitor ME-344 in combination with bevacizumab in patients with refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC).

WEE1 Confers Resistance to KRAS Inhibitors in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Cancer Lett

KRAS inhibitors sotorasib and adagrasib have been approved for the treatment of KRAS-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the efficacy of single-agent treatments is limited, presumably due to multiple resistance mechanisms. To overcome these therapeutic limitations, combination strategies that potentiate the antitumor efficacy of KRAS inhibitors must be developed.
